Long-serving chief executive of the Union for International Cancer Control, the world's largest international cancer membership organisation.
Overview
Dr Cary Adams has been Chief Executive Officer of the Union for International Cancer Control since 2009. UICC is the largest international cancer organisation, with more than 1,150 member organisations in over 170 countries. He came to the role from international business management in banking, has served two terms as Chair of the NCD Alliance board, and holds honorary doctorates from the University for Business and International Studies Geneva and the University of Bath. The current UICC President is Ulrika Årehed Kågström (2024 to 2026).
