Overview
Professor Chak-sing Lau, BBS, JP, is the forty-first Dean of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong, whose LKS Faculty of Medicine is the teaching and research partner of Queen Mary Hospital, and is also interim Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health). He holds the Daniel CK Yu Professorship in Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology and previously served as Chairperson of the Department of Medicine, Chief of Service in Medicine at Queen Mary Hospital and President of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. He is regarded as a pioneer of rheumatology in Hong Kong and founded the Hong Kong Arthritis and Rheumatism Foundation in 2001.
