First author of the phase 1/2 trial of India's first CAR-T therapy, which treated adults with relapsed lymphoma and leukaemia at six Indian centres.
Overview
Hasmukh Jain is a haematolymphoid medical oncologist at Tata Memorial Hospital and first author of the Lancet Haematology report of talicabtagene autoleucel (NexCAR19) in relapsed or refractory B-cell malignancies: 64 patients were enrolled across phase 1 and 2 at six tertiary centres, with an overall response rate of 73% in 51 evaluable patients and two treatment-related deaths. He runs lymphoma and CAR-T programmes at Tata Memorial and is an investigator on Indian and international lymphoma trials.
