Led the RADIANT trials that made everolimus a standard therapy for pancreatic and other neuroendocrine tumours.
Overview
James Yao was principal investigator of RADIANT-3 and RADIANT-4, which established everolimus for progressive pancreatic and then non-functional lung and GI neuroendocrine tumours, and authored the SEER analysis that documented the rising incidence of NETs. He chairs GI medical oncology at MD Anderson and co-led the NET Task Force of the NCI GI steering committee.
