Overview
Johanna Joyce is President of the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR), the European membership society for cancer researchers, having begun her two-year term on 11 June 2026 after serving as President-Elect from September 2024. She is a Member of the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research in Lausanne, Switzerland, where she has worked since January 2016. Her research investigates how the tumour microenvironment regulates cancer progression, metastasis and therapeutic response, with a particular focus on glioblastoma and brain metastases. The EACR board page lists Arkaitz Carracedo as President-Elect, Yardena Samuels as Past President, Caroline Dive as Treasurer and Andreas Trumpp as Secretary General.
