Joseph M. Connors
Led ECHELON-1, which replaced bleomycin with brentuximab vedotin in first-line advanced Hodgkin lymphoma.
Overview
Joseph Connors was principal investigator of ECHELON-1, the trial showing brentuximab vedotin plus AVD improves progression-free and later overall survival compared with ABVD in advanced Hodgkin lymphoma, the first change to first-line therapy in decades. He built the BC Cancer lymphoid cancer database and population-based treatment guidelines that document real-world outcomes across all lymphomas.
