Leandro Pinheiro Safatle is Diretor-Presidente of the Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (Anvisa), Brazil's federal health regulatory agency, created by law 9.782 of January 1999. He heads the agency's Diretoria Colegiada, the collegiate board that takes regulatory decisions on medicines, medical devices and other health products.
