Lori J. Wirth
Led LIBRETTO-001 in thyroid cancer, which made selpercatinib the first RET-selective drug approved for RET-driven tumours.
Overview
Lori Wirth led the thyroid cancer cohorts of LIBRETTO-001, showing selpercatinib produces high, durable response rates in RET-mutant medullary and RET fusion-positive thyroid cancer, and co-led LIBRETTO-531, which showed it beats cabozantinib or vandetanib first line. She also led trials of lenvatinib and immunotherapy in anaplastic and head and neck cancers and directs the head and neck cancer centre at MGH.
