Overview
Mark E. Burkard, MD, PhD, became Director of the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center on 1 October 2024. He holds the C.E. Block Chair of Cancer Research and is Professor and Associate Dean for Cancer in the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. His research focuses on understanding the drivers of genomic changes in breast cancer and developing precision treatments. The centre's leadership page lists Jon C. Houtman as Deputy Director of Research.
