Overview
Nai-Kong Cheung developed the murine anti-GD2 antibody 3F8 in the 1980s and its humanised successor naxitamab, which won FDA approval in 2020 for relapsed or refractory high-risk neuroblastoma in bone or bone marrow, and has led decades of MSKCC trials of antibody-based immunotherapy in children. His laboratory engineers bispecific antibodies and CAR T cells against GD2 and other paediatric targets.
