Overview
Nitzan Rosenfeld led the 2013 Nature study showing that exome sequencing of circulating tumour DNA tracks the evolution of resistance across multiple cancers, and the earlier work using tagged-amplicon sequencing to monitor breast cancer, both foundational to liquid biopsy. He developed methods for detecting ctDNA at very low fractions and co-founded Inivata, now part of NeoGenomics. He moved from Cambridge to Barts in 2023.
