Ralf Gutzmer is a German dermato-oncologist who led skin cancer research at Hannover Medical School before moving to the Mühlenkreiskliniken in Minden. He was first author of the 2020 Lancet report of IMspire150, the phase 3 trial in which atezolizumab plus vemurafenib and cobimetinib lengthened progression-free survival compared with the two targeted drugs alone in untreated BRAF V600-mutant advanced melanoma, the first approval of a triplet combining immunotherapy and BRAF-MEK inhibition.
