Overview
Thomas Fuchs led the MSKCC work that trained a deep-learning system on 44,000 whole-slide images using only slide-level labels and showed it could triage prostate, skin and breast biopsies at clinical accuracy, the foundation for Paige Prostate, the first FDA-authorised AI in pathology. He co-founded Paige and now leads AI and human health at Mount Sinai, focusing on foundation models for medicine.
