Thomas J. George

Thomas J. George, MD, FACP, FASCO, is Interim Director of the UF Health Cancer Institute, the University of Florida's cancer centre in Gainesville, and writes the director's welcome on its website. The institute became the 72nd NCI-designated cancer centre in June 2023 and is the only one based at a public university in Florida. It serves a 26-county area of north central Florida, has more than 350 researcher, clinician and educator members across the University of Florida and UF Health, and its clinical services include proton therapy, stem cell transplantation and immunotherapy.
