Toshihiko Doi is Director of National Cancer Center Hospital East in Kashiwa, Japan, one of the country's leading cancer hospitals and a major site for first-in-human oncology trials. His research focuses on gastrointestinal cancers and early clinical development, including pivotal work on trastuzumab deruxtecan and trifluridine/tipiracil in gastric cancer. He has led numerous phase 1 to 3 studies of novel anticancer agents in Asian populations.
