Nuclear medicine physician who established PET response criteria and leads Munich's radiopharmaceutical development pipeline.
Overview
Wolfgang Weber led the early studies showing FDG-PET response after one cycle of chemotherapy predicts outcome in lung and gastro-oesophageal cancer and helped define PERCIST response criteria. He directs nuclear medicine at TUM, where PSMA ligands and FAP inhibitors were developed, and has been president of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. His current focus is trial design for theranostics.
