MY-RADS is a standard way to perform, read and report whole-body MRI in myeloma, both at diagnosis and when judging response to treatment.
An international panel of radiologists, physicists and haematologists, following guidance from the International Myeloma Working Group and NICE, wrote the Myeloma Response Assessment and Diagnosis System (Messiou and colleagues, Radiology 2019). It proposes a core clinical whole-body MRI protocol and an extended one for advanced assessment, to reduce variation in how the scans are acquired, interpreted and reported and to allow response assessment.
