FamiCordTx is a Polish company developing cell and gene therapies. Its first CAR-T therapy, which re-engineers a patient's own immune cells to attack CD19 on cancer cells, is in an early trial in leukaemia and lymphoma.
FamiCordTx S.A., based in Warsaw, develops cell and gene therapies and is part of the FamiCord capital group; the company says it has been operating since 2019 and that one project aims to create a CAR-T cancer therapy ready for immediate administration. Its registered phase 1 trial (NCT06593145) tests FCTX-CL19-1 (tarcidomgen kimleucel), an autologous anti-CD19 CAR-T product given as a single intravenous dose, in refractory and relapsed CD19-positive B-cell neoplasms including acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, mantle cell lymphoma and large B-cell lymphoma, at sites in Warsaw and Gdańsk, with a start date of May 2023. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT06593145, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in September 2024.
