Future of Cancer Care Today (FCCT)
Future of Cancer Care Today is a free, PhD-led service that helps cancer patients and families connect the dots when standard of care runs out: it surfaces diagnostic and treatment options for their case, finds vetted suppliers who work beyond standard protocols, and writes playbooks so families walk into the next appointment with a fuller picture.
Overview
FCCT is incubated by the Sijbrandij Foundation and led by chief executive Poornima Parameswaran, with Bayli DiVita Dean as director of patient connections. It does not replace doctors or make treatment decisions; it is a non-clinical support layer of information, education and decision support. Its public directory groups suppliers and care providers by what they do: tumour tissue preservation, tumour molecular profiling, functional drug testing, liquid biopsy and monitoring, immune profiling, molecular imaging and theranostics, cancer vaccines, cell and gene therapies, oncolytic viruses, clinical trial finders, navigation and support, and physicians open to complex cases, each entry noting the country and whether a patient can order it directly. Self-serve playbooks cover finding open-minded physicians, assembling a personal tumour board, building a therapeutic ladder, drug access advocacy, bridging to a trial, preserving tumour tissue and comprehensive diagnostics, and a whitepaper addresses the legal barriers to patients accessing and transferring their own health data and tissue. OnCo records every organisation on the list.
