Mestag Therapeutics, in Cambridge in the UK, makes antibodies that act on fibroblasts, the support cells around a tumour, to help the immune system organise an attack inside the tumour. Its first medicine, MST-0312, is in an early trial in advanced solid tumours.
Mestag Therapeutics Limited, based in Cambridge, UK, was founded in 2020 by SV Health Investors, according to the company, and develops antibodies based on fibroblast immunology for cancer and inflammatory disease, supported by its RAFT target-discovery platform. Its lead programme MST-0312 is a FAP-targeted bispecific antibody that activates the lymphotoxin-beta receptor (LTBR) in the tumour to induce tertiary lymphoid structures and high endothelial venules; the M402 programme targets a stromal inhibitory receptor in inflammatory disease. In March 2026 it closed a USD 40 million financing from SV Health Investors, JJDC, Forbion, GV and Northpond Ventures, bringing total funds committed to more than USD 95 million, according to the company. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT07610941 (STARLYS), a phase 1 study of MST-0312 alone and with pembrolizumab in solid tumours at sites in Spain, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in May 2026, and the company announced the first patient dosed the same month.
