Overview
Myriad held the BRCA1/2 gene patents until the 2013 US Supreme Court ruling and launched BRACAnalysis CDx (2014) and myChoice CDx (2019), the two FDA-approved companion diagnostics for PARP inhibitors. MyRisk is its hereditary cancer panel; EndoPredict (breast) and Prolaris (prostate) are its prognostic tests. Its history is a case study in how gene patents, guidelines and reimbursement shape which tests patients receive.
