Mythic Therapeutics
Mythic Therapeutics designed antibody-drug conjugates, antibodies that carry a cell-killing drug into tumours, with an engineering trick to get more drug inside cancer cells. Its lead lung cancer medicine reached mid-stage trials before the company wound down in late 2025.
Overview
Mythic Therapeutics (Waltham, Massachusetts, founded 2017) developed antibody-drug conjugates using its FateControl platform, which engineers the antibody component to alter intracellular trafficking so that more payload is released inside tumour cells and less in healthy tissue, independent of linker and payload chemistry. The lead programme MYTX-011 was a cMET-targeted MMAE ADC (drug-to-antibody ratio 2) for non-small cell lung cancer; the company's December 2025 liquidation notice states that more than 230 NSCLC patients had been treated with an objective response rate above 30 percent in cMET-overexpressing disease. Mythic launched publicly in December 2021 with a USD 103 million Series B led by Viking Global Investors. On 21 November 2025 it executed a General Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors and its assets, including MYTX-011, were put up for sale.
