Pheon Therapeutics
Pheon Therapeutics is a London company designing antibody-drug conjugates, antibodies that carry a cancer-killing drug into tumours, against a new target found on many hard-to-treat solid cancers. Its first medicine is entering early human trials.
Overview
Pheon Therapeutics is a London-based antibody-drug conjugate specialist building a pipeline of ADCs against novel and clinically validated targets, using either its proprietary payload platform with a novel mechanism of action or established linker-payloads. Its first three assets address an undisclosed novel target that is highly overexpressed across a wide range of solid tumours; the lead uses a DAR8 topoisomerase 1 inhibitor linker-payload and the company reported an unusually wide preclinical therapeutic index, with a first phase 1 trial planned from 2024. By September 2025 the company described itself as clinical-stage. In May 2024 Pheon closed a USD 120 million Series B led by TCGX with BVF Partners, Lightspeed and Perceptive Advisors alongside existing investors Atlas Venture, Brandon Capital, Forbion and Research Corporation Technologies.
