Orum Therapeutics
Orum Therapeutics attaches protein-destroying drugs to antibodies so they are delivered only into cancer cells. Its lead medicine for acute myeloid leukaemia is entering human trials, and the company is listed on the Korean stock market.
Overview
Orum Therapeutics (Daejeon, South Korea, with US operations in Boston) pioneered degrader-antibody conjugates (DACs) through its Dual-Precision Targeted Protein Degradation (TPD²) approach, in which antibodies deliver catalytic protein degrader payloads selectively to cancer cells to improve efficacy, safety and half-life relative to systemic degraders. ORM-5029, a HER2-directed GSPT1 degrader conjugate, entered a phase 1 trial in HER2-expressing solid tumours in November 2022. ORM-6151, a CD33-directed GSPT1 degrader for acute myeloid leukaemia and high-risk MDS, was acquired by Bristol Myers Squibb in November 2023 after FDA phase 1 clearance. The current lead, ORM-1153, a CD123-GSPT1 DAC for AML, received FDA IND clearance in August 2026. The company raised a USD 84 million Series B in 2021, listed on KOSDAQ in February 2025 (KRX: 475830) and secured about USD 100 million in convertible preferred stock in December 2025.
