P-Cure

P-Cure, founded in 2007, develops and markets a gantry-less, compact proton therapy system that treats patients seated or supine in front of a fixed synchrotron pencil-beam-scanning beam, with an FDA-cleared upright big-bore 4D CT for planning in the treatment position. The company says the room is comparable to a single-floor linac vault, about five times smaller than a gantry room, needs roughly half the shielding and can cut proton centre capital cost by about 50 percent. Milestones include FDA clearance of the upright imaging solution (2020), of the proton system for seated treatment (2024) and an August 2026 expansion to full-body and supine treatments. With Hadassah Medical Center the Jerusalem facility has treated patients routinely for almost three years and in February 2026 reported the first prospective results of upright proton re-irradiation for lung cancer. No financing round could be sourced.
