ProTom International
ProTom International makes the Radiance 330, a compact synchrotron-based proton therapy system installed at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLaren in Michigan.
Overview
ProTom International's Radiance 330 uses a small synchrotron that accelerates protons to the exact energy required for each layer of the target, avoiding the degrader and much of the shielding a cyclotron needs, and feeds fixed and gantry rooms with pencil-beam scanning. Systems operate at McLaren Proton Therapy Center in Flint, Michigan, and at Massachusetts General Hospital. OnCo links it to proton therapy machines.
