Volpara Health made software that measures breast density from mammograms and helps clinics manage breast cancer risk and screening quality. The New Zealand company was acquired by Korean AI firm Lunit in 2024 and now operates under the Lunit brand.
Overview
Volpara Health Technologies, founded in Wellington, New Zealand, developed AI software for breast screening: Volpara Scorecard provides objective volumetric breast density assessment from mammograms to support supplemental screening decisions, Risk Pathways manages breast cancer risk assessment and high-risk patient workflows, and Patient Hub supports patient engagement, alongside quality tools for mammography positioning and dose. Lunit, the Seoul-listed AI cancer diagnostics company (KRX: 328130), completed its acquisition of Volpara in 2024 and in November 2025 announced that Volpara now operates under the Lunit brand, with the combined business serving more than 10,000 sites in over 65 countries. The Scorecard and Risk Pathways products are now sold as part of Lunit's cancer screening portfolio, and the volparahealth.com domain redirects to lunit.io.
