AST-3424

AST-3424 (OBI-3424, TH-3424) is a small molecule AKR1C3-activated prodrug (DNA alkylator) from Ascentawits Pharmaceuticals, with OBI Pharma as partner and Zhejiang Hisun Pharmaceutical as partner. A nitrogen mustard prodrug that the enzyme AKR1C3 cleaves to an active molecule that alkylates and cross-links DNA, so it is aimed at tumours with high AKR1C3. Its furthest stage is phase 2, for hepatocellular carcinoma, advanced solid tumours, T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma.
