Relacorilant
A first-in-class drug that blocks cortisol signalling in tumour cells, approved in 2026 for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer with chemotherapy.
Corcept's ROSELLA phase 3: with nab-paclitaxel improved PFS and OS versus nab-paclitaxel alone. Approved Q1 2026. Glucocorticoid receptor activation is a chemoresistance mechanism.
1.Cortisol binds glucocorticoid receptors in tumour cells and switches on anti-apoptotic genes

- Medicare
- Part D (self-administered)
Oral, self-administered, so it is a Part D drug: covered through a stand-alone Part D plan or Medicare Advantage drug benefit, usually on the specialty tier with 25 to 33% coinsurance until the annual cap ($2,000 in 2025, $2,100 in 2026). Approved 2025 for hypercortisolism; oncology use is investigational, and Part D plans will not cover off-label ovarian cancer use outside a compendium listing.
- Commercial insurance
- variable
Covered with prior authorisation for the labelled endocrine indication only; ovarian cancer use is not yet on label.
Part D out-of-pocket capped at $2,000 (2025) / $2,100 (2026). Medicare patients cannot use manufacturer co-pay cards; charity funds (PAN, HealthWell, CancerCare) and the Extra Help subsidy are the routes.
