Overview
Beaumont Hospital is one of Ireland's eight designated cancer centres and the principal teaching hospital of RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences. It hosts the National Neurosurgical Centre, making it the national referral centre for brain tumours, alongside medical oncology, radiation oncology, haematology and surgical oncology for north Dublin and the north-east. RCSI's research in brain cancer, breast cancer and cancer bioinformatics underpins the centre's translational programme, and the Beaumont RCSI Cancer Centre is accredited by the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes as a Cancer Centre.
