AZ Groeninge Kortrijk Cancer Centre

AZ Groeninge is the regional hospital for south-west Flanders, formed by the merger of Kortrijk's hospitals onto a single new campus. Its oncology centre brings medical oncology, radiotherapy, haematology, surgical oncology and supportive care together under one multidisciplinary structure and was accredited by the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes as a Cancer Centre, a distinction otherwise held mostly by university hospitals and dedicated cancer institutes. The hospital participates in Belgian and European clinical trials through its clinical trial unit and collaborates with the university hospitals of Leuven and Ghent on complex and rare tumours.
