IRCCS CROB, Centro di Riferimento Oncologico della Basilicata

The Centro di Riferimento Oncologico della Basilicata (CROB) in Rionero in Vulture is the dedicated cancer hospital and research institute of the Basilicata region, recognised by the Ministry of Health as an IRCCS. It provides medical oncology, radiotherapy, haematology, surgical oncology, nuclear medicine and clinical trials for a largely rural southern Italian population and runs research laboratories in translational oncology, with programmes in myeloma and lymphoma, breast and gastrointestinal cancers and cancer epidemiology. CROB is accredited by the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes as a Cancer Centre.
