Overview
The Cancer Research UK Convergence Science Centre is one of the seven Cancer Research UK Centres and a partnership between The Institute of Cancer Research and Imperial College London. Its mission is to converge engineering, physical, mathematical and data sciences with cancer biology and medicine: funding cross-disciplinary teams, a Convergence Science PhD programme and seed projects in areas such as imaging, sensors, mathematical oncology, AI for pathology and radiotherapy, and novel drug delivery. Cancer Research UK lists Axel Behrens as its director. It draws on The Royal Marsden and Imperial College Healthcare as clinical partners.
