The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is a national charity, based in East Cowes on the Isle of Wight, that takes young people aged 8 to 24 who have been treated for cancer on free sailing and outdoor adventures. The sailor Ellen MacArthur was inspired in 2000 after sailing with A Chacun Son Cap, a French charity for young people with cancer, and the Trust's first trip, in July 2003, was for five young people from Great Ormond Street Hospital. Its about page describes the problems young people can face after treatment, from lost confidence and missed education to late effects such as fatigue and infertility, and says the trips help them regain independence and a sense of belonging. The Charity Commission register records latest income of about £2.3 million for the year ending 30 November 2025.
