A UK charity for adults diagnosed with cancer in their 20s, 30s and 40s, offering peer support, events and information.
Shine Cancer Support started in Dorset in 2008 as a support group set up by two women who had been diagnosed with cancer young and could not find others like them. It now supports adults across the UK diagnosed with any cancer in their 20s, 30s or 40s, whether newly diagnosed, in treatment or living with incurable cancer, with tailored information and peer support on issues such as work, dating and money. It runs retreats, a conference called Shine Connect, a community for people from Black, Asian and minoritised ethnic backgrounds, and has published a report on support for younger adults. The Charity Commission register records latest income of about £0.8 million for the year ending 31 December 2025.
