Southern Sweden's university hospital and Lund University's cancer centre, known for the population-wide SCAN-B breast cancer sequencing project.

Skåne University Hospital in Lund and Malmö is the tertiary cancer centre for southern Sweden, and Lund University Cancer Centre coordinates research across its Medicon Village campus. Åke Borg and Lao Saal established the Sweden Cancerome Analysis Network–Breast (SCAN-B), which has sequenced the transcriptomes of breast cancers from consecutive patients across the region since 2010 and reports gene expression subtypes back into care, and Lund groups are strong in melanoma and prostate genomics, paediatric oncology and radiation physics linked to the MAX IV synchrotron. Lund also spun out antibody company BioInvent and hosts a Swedish node for CAR-T and haematological trials.
