Overview
Kristina Lång is principal investigator of MASAI, the Swedish randomised trial of 100,000 women showing that AI-supported screen reading detects 29% more cancers than standard double reading while cutting radiologist workload by 44%, without increasing false positives. She also led the Malmö Breast Tomosynthesis Screening Trial. Her work is the strongest evidence yet for deploying AI in population screening.
