The Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro, founded in 1964 in Madrid and moved to a new campus in Majadahonda in 2008, is a public teaching hospital of the Autonomous University of Madrid known for transplantation and with oncology, haematology and radiotherapy services. It is a full member of the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes (OECI); its representative on the OECI list is Julio García Pondal.
