Overview
The Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal is one of Madrid's large public teaching hospitals, opened in 1977 and run by the regional health service. Its oncology, haematology and radiotherapy departments work with the Ramón y Cajal Institute for Health Research (IRYCIS). It is a full member of the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes (OECI); its representative on the OECI list is Carlos Mingo Rodriguez.
