Peking Union Medical College Hospital

PUMCH was established in 1921 by the Rockefeller Foundation's China Medical Board and remains the teaching hospital of Peking Union Medical College under the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. It is the national flagship for difficult diagnoses, with strong departments in gynaecological oncology (gestational trophoblastic disease, ovarian and cervical cancer), pancreatic and hepatobiliary surgery, neuroendocrine tumours, thyroid and pituitary disease, and rare-disease genetics. PUMCH hosts the National Rare Diseases Registry and several national quality-control centres, and its investigators sit on many CSCO guideline panels. Patients can access phase 1-3 trials in gynaecological, pancreatic and neuroendocrine cancers alongside multidisciplinary tumour boards.
