One of the largest paediatric cancer centres in the US, Baylor's children's hospital, and founder of the Global HOPE programme for childhood cancer in Africa.

Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Center in the Texas Medical Center is the paediatric arm of Baylor College of Medicine's Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center and one of the largest paediatric oncology programmes in the country. Baylor's Center for Cell and Gene Therapy ran the first GD2 CAR-T and virus-specific T-cell trials in its patients, and its neuro-oncology group, joined in 2023 by medulloblastoma geneticist Michael Taylor, is among the largest in North America. Global HOPE, founded by David Poplack in 2017, trains paediatric oncologists and treats children in Botswana, Malawi, Uganda and other sub-Saharan countries. Director Susan Blaney chairs the Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium, and the centre is a major Children's Oncology Group site.
