Melbourne oncologist who led C-POST, the trial that showed cemiplimab after surgery and radiotherapy cuts recurrence in high-risk cutaneous squamous-cell carcinoma.
Overview
Danny Rischin directs medical oncology at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and chairs head and neck trials for the Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group. He was first author of the 2025 New England Journal of Medicine report of C-POST, in which adjuvant cemiplimab improved disease-free survival compared with placebo after surgery and radiotherapy for high-risk cutaneous squamous-cell carcinoma, and led the cemiplimab phase 2 programme in advanced disease.
