Overview
Shailender Bhatia is a medical oncologist at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and the University of Washington who focuses on Merkel cell carcinoma and melanoma. He was the study chair and first author of the 2025 New England Journal of Medicine report of the ECOG-ACRIN EA6174 STAMP trial, in which adjuvant pembrolizumab improved recurrence-free survival compared with observation after resection of stage I to III Merkel cell carcinoma.
