Overview
Denise Aberle was national principal investigator of the ACRIN arm of the National Lung Screening Trial, whose 2011 result of a 20% reduction in lung cancer mortality with low-dose CT led to the first lung screening recommendations and Medicare coverage in the United States. She continues to work on quantitative imaging and AI for nodule assessment.
