Overview
Jeffrey Bluestone is a T cell immunologist whose laboratory work on CTLA-4 and on regulatory T cells underpins both checkpoint immunotherapy and cell therapies for autoimmunity. He was the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy's founding President and Chief Executive Officer from its public launch in 2016, and remains on its board, which lists him as Chief Executive Officer and President of Sonoma BioTherapeutics. His UCSF profile records him as the A.W. and Mary Margaret Clausen Distinguished Professor of Metabolism and Endocrinology and Professor Emeritus in the Diabetes Center.
