Professor Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo is Chief Medical Director of University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, the teaching hospital of the University of Ibadan and Nigeria's first teaching hospital. The hospital's website records his appointment as Chief Medical Director from 1 March 2019 and continued to list him in that office in September 2026. He qualified in medicine at the University of Ibadan in 1989, holds an MSc and PhD in chemical pathology and immunology, and became Professor of Medicine in 2008; he is a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians, the American College of Gastroenterology and the Royal College of Physicians of Glasgow, with more than 100 publications.
