Kent Stobart
Paediatric oncologist and certified physician executive who has led CancerCare Manitoba, the provincial cancer agency, as President and CEO since November 2025.
Overview
Dr Kent Stobart joined CancerCare Manitoba as President and Chief Executive Officer in November 2025. He is a clinical paediatric oncologist and a Canadian Certified Physician Executive (CCPE), with a background in oncology services, medical education and health system administration. During postgraduate studies at Queen's University he held a Terry Fox Research Scholarship from the National Cancer Institute of Canada, and in 2024 he received the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada President's Award for exemplary national leadership. CancerCare Manitoba is the provincial agency responsible for cancer and blood disorder services in Manitoba; its executive team also includes Dr Donna Turner (Population Oncology), Dr Arbind Dubey (Chief Medical Officer) and Brent Gibson (Corporate Services).
