Overview
Martin Schlumberger was principal investigator of SELECT, which established lenvatinib for radioiodine-refractory differentiated thyroid cancer, and led ESTIMABL1 and ESTIMABL2, the French trials showing that low-dose radioiodine, and for low-risk patients no radioiodine, are non-inferior to standard ablation, sharply de-escalating thyroid cancer treatment. He has chaired the European Thyroid Association and ATA guideline work.
