Overview
Nariaki Matsuura (Matsuura Nariaki) is President (Socho) of the Osaka International Cancer Institute, the Osaka Prefectural Hospital Organization's cancer centre, which was founded in 1959 as the Osaka Prefectural Adult Disease Centre and took its current name on moving to Otemae, Osaka, in 2017. In his greeting he describes the institute's aims of delivering the best available treatment, developing new therapies and supporting patients' quality of life under the philosophy of advanced cancer care based on the patient's perspective. The institute is a designated prefectural cancer care hub and a cancer genomic medicine hub hospital.
