Raymond N. DuBois

Raymond N. DuBois, MD, PhD, is Director of MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, Associate Provost for Cancer Programs and Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. The centre describes him as an internationally known scientist whose research has clarified the role of inflammation in gastrointestinal cancers, with more than 160 peer-reviewed articles among 274 publications cited over 70,000 times, and who was elected to the National Academy of Medicine in 2019. He earned his bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University, his PhD from UT Southwestern and his MD from UT San Antonio, and trained at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the laboratory of Nobel laureate Daniel Nathans.
